MOTHERMIND

Proposed as a series of interconnected projects inspired by Credo Vusamazulu Mutwa’s notion of the ‘mother mind’ – circular, multidirectional approaches to thinking and organisation that acknowledge the instinctual as well as the intellectual. The proposal is made up of the short-term investment in artist pairs already working intimately and long-distance, and research into the long-term sustainable arts project of a grant for African artist-mothers.
